O. SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL APPROVES ROAD PAVING PROJECTS

BBBTV12 – OLIVER SPRINGS, Tenn. — The Oliver Springs Town Council met in regular session on Thursday evening, July 17, with a short but productive agenda focused on infrastructure improvements.
The Council approved a $34,000 paving project for Winrock Road, stretching from the city limits to the bridge leading toward Windrock Park. The Rogers Group was awarded the contract for the work.
In addition, the Council agreed to move forward with seeking bids for paving Airport Road, from Midway Drive to the city limits. Officials hope to begin the bidding process in the coming weeks.
During the meeting, concerns were also raised about the overgrown grass along Highway 62 between the city limits of Oliver Springs and Oak Ridge. The Council noted that the grass in the median has not been cut in many weeks and has become unsightly. Mayor Jason Stiltner said he would contact the Anderson County Highway Department to request that the area be mowed as soon as possible.
