Early Saturday morning Roane County deputies were dispatched to a bar on Roane State Highway for a report of an intoxicated woman named Katie in a pink shirt and black jacket, reportedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot by punching people and refusing to get out of their vehicles.

A waitress at the establishment was unaware of the disturbance. None of the patrons with whom the deputy spoke claimed to be aware of any disturbance.

At that point, dispatch advised the 34-year-old Caitlin Drew Glover of Oak Ridge called in and said she was walking down Highway 70, toward Midtown Motor Sales, claiming “people were after her.”

A deputy noticed a woman running into the lot of the dealership and,  minutes later, they found Glover sitting on the ground amid vehicles. As they helped her up and confirmed her identity, they noticed a distinct odor of alcohol on and about her person. Her speech was slurred, she was unstable on her feet and admitted to being drunk. Officers had to hold her up to keep her from falling.

Glover was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Roane County jail.
