OLD CROSSVILLE RYAN’S LOCATION TO BE RAZED

With Rural King poised to open later this summer in the old K-Mart building, Crossville residents have been wondering what, if anything, is going in the former Ryan’s Restaurant. At Tuesday’s city council work session, City Mayor James Mayberry stated that a new business to the area would be tearing down the old Ryan’s building. Mayor Mayberry said that the business would face Main Street and would be a nearly $3 million project. When asked who the new purchasers were, Mayberry said that it was an inappropriate time to release that information. The business has requested that the city waive water and sewer line fees. The request will appear on the council’s June meeting agenda. A timeline for the whole project was not provided at the work session.
