Knoxville Police arrested 40-year-old Matthew Green of Oliver Springs yesterday following a domestic incident at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

Officers responded to one of the hospital’s parking garages and found Green with a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

Police say Green was involved in a domestic incident when his son shot him in the leg after giving Green multiple warnings to stand down.

Green was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. He faces offenses of domestic assault and aggravated kidnapping.

Knoxville police added no other charges were filed.

Authorities say Green had an outstanding warrant out of Roane County for aggravated assault.
