OLIVER SPRINGS OKAYS 2019-2020 FY BUDGET

Thursday, the Oliver Springs Town Council passed their budget for the upcoming 2019-2020 Fiscal year. There was no increase in the property tax rate. The council also met as the Water Board prior to the regular meeting. The new water and sewer budget was also passed without any increases. A 5.5% increase was enacted only two months ago in order to satisfy a State Dept. of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) grant standards. City Manager Thomas McCormick said that an increase will need to be looked at next year, but at this time, they could operate with a slight deficit.
