OLIVER SPRINGS TOWN COUNCIL MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
BBBTV12 – The Oliver Springs Town Council met in regular session on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., with Vice Mayor Terry Holland presiding in the absence of Mayor Stiltner.
The council approved a $3.1 million budget for the next fiscal year and set the property tax rate at just under $0.73 per $100 of assessed value, aligning with other municipalities to maintain stable tax bills despite higher county and state property reappraisals.
The council recognized June 19 as a holiday for city employees, aligning with the national holiday of Juneteenth (noting the agenda incorrectly referenced June 10). They approved installing one speed table on Richards Drive, two on Midway Drive, and plan to add two on Airport Road pending future approval.
Additionally, the council authorized new turnout gear and fire hoses for the Oliver Springs Fire Department.
