ONE AIRLIFTED IN CHESTNUT HILL ROAD ACCIDENT IN CUMBERLAND CO.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department released information today regarding a vehicle accident on the 5400 block of Chestnut Hill Road Wednesday. A deputy responded to a report of someone running through some fencing and leaving the scene. The officer came upon a Mercury Marquis driven by 28-year-old Daniel Dewayne Farley of Crossville with damage to its front end. Farley’s vehicle reportedly accelerated as the officer turned around to stop him. Farley crashed into a rock bluff two miles from the scene. Farley was airlifted to U.T. Medical Center from a landing zone set up in Crab Orchard. U.T. Medical Center confirmed to 105.7 News this afternoon that Farley has been discharged. The accident is under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
