ONE ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION AFTER WEEKEND ALTERCATION AT DUBLIN’S CROSSING

Late Friday night, Crossville police were called to Dublin’s Crossing on West Avenue for a report of an altercation involving one party with a firearm. The man with the gun explained a verbal incident had taken place involving 43-year-old Jason Pillow and several other individuals. Pillow was said to have been harassing others when his friend intervened and followed the other men out to their car. The man with the gun said he pulled the weapon from its holster and – without pointing it at anyone – warned Pillow’s friend to leave the men alone. He said he only did so because of the friend’s size.

Pillow’s friend said the man with the gun pointed it at him; the armed man’s wife said her husband never pointed it at him.

Pillow, who was described as extremely intoxicated, refused to listen to law-enforcement officers’ commands to stay inside. He ran around the bar and outside, after being told multiple times to stay inside. Pillow was arrested for public intoxication – for his safety and that of the public. Due to conflicting statements, the man with the gun was not charged. He was not under the influence and had not ingested any alcohol.
