ONE HURT IN ATV VS. VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN CRAB ORCHARD

One person was hurt in an ATV versus a vehicle accident this morning in eastern Cumberland County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 1999 Kawasaki ATV operated by an unknown rider was traveling east on Highway 70 East around 6:30 a.m. in Crab Orchard with no lights on. A 2018 Ford F-150 driven by 51-year-old Stacey Pugh of Crossville came upon the ATV that was traveling slower and rear-ended it. A passenger on the Kawasaki, 38-year-old Samantha Cooper of Crossville, was ejected into the roadway. The operator of the ATV picked Cooper up and took her to a mobile home on Market Street, dropped her off and fled the scene on foot. Charges are pending.
