ONE INJURED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN ROANE COUNTY
The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident on I-40 in Roane County yesterday afternoon. Troopers say a 2006 Mazda Miata driven by 22-year-old Aricka Graham of Memphis was traveling west at the 343 mile marker going up the mountain when the vehicle started to hydroplane during rainfall. She went off the interstate and struck an earth embankment resulting in the vehicle going airborne and flipping over on its top. Graham, who was restrained at the time of impact, was treated for injuries considered non-life threatening.
