OVER 100 YEAR OLD HOME DESTROYED BY FIRE

A house was destroyed by a fire yesterday (Saturday, October 21, 2017) in Sequatchie County. Fire crews in and around the county went to the scene near Spring Street and Cherry Street in Dunlap across from the courthouse. Authorities say the fire started from a nearby brush pile. Officials say the owner of the home had a burn permit. Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion. No other injuries were reported.
