OVER 450 POWER OUTAGES RESPONDED TO BY VEC CREWS IN PAST FIVE DAYS
Severe thunderstorms have pounded the Volunteer Energy service area for five days straight, resulting in a staggering 479 different outages caused by not only storms but car accidents involving power poles, broken lines and blown transformers. Linemen have been working long days and even longer nights to get power back on for customers.
With its corporate office in Decatur, Tennessee, VEC serves its members through nine customer service centers in Benton, Cleveland, Georgetown, Decatur, Spring City, Crossville, Monterey, Jamestown and Byrdstown.
