PALL MALL DRIVER WASN’T DRUNK; BUT HE WAS WANTED – IN TEXAS

Friday afternoon, Crossville police were sent to Peavine Road for a report of a possible drunk driver getting onto I-40 Westbound. After securing permission to pursue the driver as far as exit 317, the officer followed the suspect onto U.S. Highway 127, making contact at the Exxon station.

After observing and speaking with the subject driver, the officer did not deem 55-year-old Gary Lynn Garrett of Pall Mall to be intoxicated; but when his info was run through NCIC, Garrett was found to have an extraditable warrant from Texas.

Garrett was taken into custody without incident on the out-of-state warrant.
