A vehicular accident involving a male pedestrian was reported in Crossville Monday morning. According to sources, the accident involved an elderly male being struck by a semi-truck on Main Street in front of the Cumberland County Courthouse just before 11 AM. The victim’s injuries were unknown at the time the report was filed. However, he was taken to Cumberland Medical Center’s Emergency Room to be evaluated for transport to a nearby trauma center. No further information is available at this time. 1057 News will have more details as they are released. In the meantime, the Crossville Police Dept. has closed off Main Street from North Street to East First Street to through traffic until the scene can be cleared.
