A Rockwood man was taken into custody Monday night following a vehicle accident. A deputy reportedly observed a car operated by 20-year-old Dylan Michael Pelfrey traveling on Westel Road at a high rate of speed. The officers made an attempt to catch up to the suspect but terminated the pursuit. Shortly after, the deputy was called to the 3100 block of Westel Road where the same vehicle was involved in a crash. Authorities allegedly noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Pelfrey. He was charged with evading arrest and DUI.
