PEOPLE JUST WANT MORE RELIABLE INTERNET SERVICE

Hundreds of Frontier Communications customers in the Rochester, New York area say they’ve had spotty phone and internet service and they’re fed up. Many in the Upper Cumberland Region have had the same complaints about Frontier and other internet providers for some time.

For months, News10 NBC in Rochester, NY has been investigating customer service issues with Frontier after hearing from customers who say their service drops out frequently and then they have to maneuver through a sea of prompts and associates when calling the provider for help. Often, customers say, they end up having to wait weeks for service calls. The complaints were then filed with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Schneiderman has already filed a lawsuit against Time Warner Cable now doing business as Spectrum last month saying the company wasn’t delivering on the internet speeds it promised customers. He has been encouraging everyone to test their internet speeds and call or email his office with the results. But many Frontier customers say they’re not even concerned with how fast their connection is at this point, they just want reliable service. They say that it’s about getting the service they are paying for which is the same thing that people in Tennessee are complaining about.

Problems are also being cited with Charter and Comcast and people want a better bang for their buck when it comes to their communications and internet providers.
