A pilot is safe after an emergency landing late this morning (Friday, August 25, 2017) at the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport in White County. Officials say the pilot was unable to engage his front landing gear. Emergency crews were on standby just in case. After burning off some fuel, the pilot was able to land without getting hurt or damaging the plane. The identity of the pilot was not released.
