VEC announced late this morning the planned power outage for tomorrow night in Cumberland County has been canceled. The outage was scheduled to last for 8 hours, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Central.

It would have involved nearly 10,000 VEC customers in Cumberland County.

TDOT crews would have moved two transmission lines during the outage as part of the Highway 127 project.

VEC will announce at a later time a new date to perform this work.
