POLARIS RECALLS RANGER VEHICLES; FIRE HAZARD

On June 18, 2025, Polaris Industries recalled approximately 4,900 Model Year 2023-2024 Ranger XP Kinetic and Model Year 2025 Pro XD Kinetic Recreational Off-Road Vehicles (ROVs), along with 185 accessory charger service parts/kits, due to a fire hazard. The issue stems from water leaking through a cracked filter into the high-voltage charging harness, potentially causing a short circuit.

The recalled Ranger XP Kinetic ROVs, sold in camouflage and white, and Pro XD Kinetic ROVs, featuring gray plastic panels with a black frame, were distributed nationwide by Polaris dealers from April 2023 to March 2025 for $24,000 to $37,500. Additionally, about 330 ROVs were sold in Canada.

Consumers are advised to contact an authorized Polaris dealer for a free repair and can verify if their vehicle is affected by checking the VIN online at www.polaris.com or by calling 800-765-2747. Polaris has reported 47 filter failures, including six incidents of melting or fire and four cases of sparking or smoke, with no injuries noted.

The company is directly notifying registered owners with instructions for safe operation until repairs are completed. The ROVs and charger parts were manufactured in the United States by Polaris Industries Inc. of Medina, Minnesota.
