POLICE: BROWN ARRESTED AFTER KICKING CROSSVILLE OFFICER IN NOSE SEVERAL TIMES
Crossville police went Wednesday to a convenience store at Miller Bypass and Lantana Road, responding to a possible reckless driver.
Police encountered the driver, 31-year-old Alex Brown of Crossville, who appeared unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech.
The officer gave a field sobriety test, which Brown reportedly did not pass.
Brown allegedly became combative when officers placed him in custody.
The arrest report indicates once Brown was placed in the patrol cruiser, he kicked an officer several times in the nose, drawing blood.
Brown was charged with assault on a first responder and public intoxication.
