A Polk County, Tennessee church was destroyed by fire early this morning and it could be an act of arson. The State Fire Marshal’s office has been called to investigate. The Mercy Tabernacle church was built in 1975, with a congregation of about 75 people. The church’s sanctuary, offices and event center were destroyed this morning. No injuries were initially reported.
