But “porch pirates” or those who steal packages left by delivery services are out and about looking to take your holiday joy. Last Friday, Cumberland County authorities took a report of a case at a home on Plateau Road. If you have an item delivered and you will not be present to receive it, have it sent to the home of a relative or friend that you know will be there. You can also have the package held at your local post office for pickup or take advantage of “Ship to Store” option that many business offer.
