Morgan County Sheriff Wayne Potter and his officers are investigating the discovery of what appears to be human remains at an unspecified residence near Sunbright.

District Attorney General Russell Johnson has requested assistance from the regional forensic center anthropologist division team in exhuming and investigating the remains. The investigation is in its early stages and no information is currently available regarding the type or identity of the remains, nor the cause or manner of death – or even whether the remains are human.

The initial call about the remains came in around 10 this morning.
