POWER OUTAGE TAKES PLACE IN CROSSVILLE
A power outage took place in Crossville just before 8 a.m. this morning. It affected nearly 700 VEC customers. The outage caused several traffic lights on Main Street to go out turning the intersections into 4-way stops for motorists. Bobby Randolph with Volunteer Electric told 105.7 News that the outage happened after a malfunction took place at a substation. Crews responded quickly and had power restored about an hour after it went out.
