PRAYERS REQUESTED FOR 1-YEAR-OLD CUMBERLAND COUNTY CHILD

Cumberland County first responders went to a home on Potato Farm Road yesterday after a child accidentally fell into a pond.

A dispatcher guided his parents over the phone to perform CPR on Samuel as medics and deputies rushed to the scene. Emergency medical technicians were able to get a faint heartbeat and Lifestar was summoned to land in a field next to the home to take Samuel to U.T. Medical Center.

His mother, Lacie Neal, said today there is not much to update but the doctor said there is hope.

“His kidneys are improving. He has pneumonia and his lungs took a beating. They have put in a feeding tube and has lowered his sedation a little to see how much response we can get. I just want to personally say thank you so much for all the donations and text messages and thoughts and prayers. I am truly blessed with such an amazing support system,” said Neal in a Facebook post.

Please pray and continue to pray for this young man for a speedy recovery and his family for strength.
