Crossville police responded this week to an area on Davidson Court for a burglary in progress. The report states once the intruder, 41-year-old Jamie Lynn Presley of Crossville, saw officers, he grabbed a 2×4 board with nails sticking out of it and swung it in the direction of police. After a 10 minute standoff where authorities asked him multiple times to drop the weapon, Presley complied. He was arrested for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and served three outstanding violation of probation warrants.
