PUBLIC HEARINGS SET IN KINGSTON REGARDING CLINCH RIVER NUCLEAR SITE
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will have two meetings today (Tuesday, June 5, 2018) in Kingston to discuss the draft environmental-impact statement for the Clinch River Nuclear Site in west Oak Ridge. The public will be able to comment on the draft environmental impact statement for the early site permit application for the site, where small modular nuclear reactors could eventually be built. The meetings will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. this afternoon and 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at Noah’s Event Venue at 1200 Ladd Landing Boulevard in Kingston.
