PUTNAM DEPUTIES WORK WITH CROSSVILLE POLICE ON METH BUST

On the early morning of Friday, April 10, 2026, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Tennessee Avenue for failure to stop at a stop sign. As deputies approached the car, they observed the driver, identified as Randi Dodd, attempting to hide what appeared to be a syringe. Dodd had an outstanding warrant from Rutherford County.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 6 ounces of methamphetamine hidden in a compartment. The case was handled in cooperation with the Crossville Police Department. Dodd was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Jail, where she faces charges of Manufacture, Delivery, and Sale of Methamphetamine. Her bond has been set at $65,000, with a court date scheduled for April 15, 2026.
