QUEENER ARRESTED AGAIN IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

A suspect involved in a high speed pursuit with Cumberland County deputies late last month was arrested again on outstanding warrants. Deputies went to a home on East Mayland Road this week to serve 43-year-old David Lee Queener when he allegedly ran off into a field behind the home. A K-9 officer tracked Queener to where he was hiding behind a tree. Queener was arrested on outstanding warrants for manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, possession of a firearm while under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of property and three counts of vandalism.

Last month, a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Queener on Plateau Road next to I-40 and reportedly smelled alcohol coming from Queener. The officer asked him to step out of the vehicle and that is when Queener took off at a high rate of speed. The chase went to Highway 70 North at speeds of 85 miles per hour and ended on East Mayland Road. After a short altercation following a taser being ineffective on Queener, he was arrested for DUI, evading arrest, resisting arrest and simple possession of drugs.
