RANDOLPH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, THEFT AND VANDALISM

Early Tuesday evening, Crossville police officers responded to an apartment on North Hills Lane for a physical domestic situation in which the aggressor had already left.

The victim said she had been involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, 37-year-old Marvin Joe-Lee Randolph, in which he had strangled her. She had marks on the left side of her neck and on her right forearm; there was also a broken table in the kitchen that officers described as being “out of place appearing to be from a physical altercation.”

The victim said Randolph had also struck her four-year-old daughter during the squabble. The child was found to have a small knot under her right eye and stated “Joe” had hit her with his hand.

The victim said Randolph then took her keys and her phone without her consent. Randolph broke her phone, refused to give back her keys and drove off in her black 2002 Chevy Trailblazer.

Sunday afternoon, Cumberland County deputies patrolling in the Vandever area noticed the vehicle. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle. Randolph, the driver, was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault (domestic related), assault, theft of property and vandalism. He was placed under $13,000 bond and is due in court April 1.
