TWO CHARGED IN VANDALISM OF CROSSVILLE TREEHOUSE

Sunday afternoon, two 19-year-olds were charged with vandalism after Cumberland County deputies were called to the landmark Crossville Treehouse at 364 Beehive Lane. Deputies heard loud noises coming from the upper levels of the structure, including the sounds of breaking glass, and ordered the trespassers to come down.

Thomas H. Link and Benjamin Steven Camp, both of Nashville, and two female subjects obeyed. They admitted to vandalizing the treehouse – which has clearly posted No Trespassing signage on the property. Link and Camp said they were the only ones engaging in the vandalism and they only broke one window.

All four were given verbal warnings for trespassing; Link and Camp were cited for vandalism. They’re due in court May 13.

Deputies contacted Horace Burgess, the owner of the property, who estimated the value of the broken window to be $200.
