A man was taken into custody in Roane County following an armed altercation. The arrest report states 18-year-old Zachery Douglas Ray met a female victim he knew at a location on Winton Chapel Road south of Rockwood. After the female got into a vehicle, Ray brandished a firearm and demanded money from her. Another armed subject who was wearing a mask and standing outside the Ford Explorer opened the passenger door and shoved her further into the floor. Ray reportedly forced the females shirt up and made her pull her pants down. The victim was then forced out of the vehicle, her ankle was ran over by the vehicle, then she was struck with the end of a firearm. Ray was arrested last night and charged with especially aggravated robbery. He is being held in the Roane County jail without bond as of this morning.
