RESCUE CREWS WORK TO SAVE 9 PEOPLE TRAPPED AT TWIN FALLS

From Sparta Rescue Squad:
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, the Sparta-White County Rescue, along with Warren County Rescue, the Doyle Volunteer Fire Department, White County EMS, the White County Sheriff’s Department, and TWRA, were dispatched to 9 subjects trapped at the bottom of Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park.
Due to rising water the subjects were unable to exit on their own. Contact was made to the Rangers inside the park and the dam system was shut down. Responders on scene created a rope system to help subjects walk out safely.
Just a reminder to pay attention to posted signs and alarms before entering in these areas. We want to extend our thanks to everyone who responded and assisted today.
