Cumberland County deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a dwelling on the 5600 block of Highway 70 North yesterday afternoon. The resident stated he heard a noise, went to see what it was and encountered an unknown Caucasian medium build male with blonde hair. The burglar immediately ran out of the home and away from the scene. Nothing was initially reported missing and the incident is under investigation.
