Special agents with the TBI obtained indictments charging 42-year-old Miles Harold Ledbetter, Jr. of Kingston with intimidating the lives of law enforcement officers who previously investigated him.

At the request of 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, authorities began looking into a series of phone calls allegedly made to the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct by Ledbetter. He reportedly issued threats of violence against personnel from the Roane County Sheriff’s Department.

A grand jury returned indictments, charging Ledbetter with three counts of retaliation for past actions. He was taken into custody and booked in the jail on a $100,000 bond.
