RETIRED TTU PROFESSOR SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS BEHIND BARS IN SEXUAL BATTERY PLEA DEAL

A retired Tennessee Tech professor has been sentenced in a plea agreement stemming from sexual battery charges. 13th District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway said that Roy Loutzenheiser pled guilty to attempted aggravated sexual battery in Criminal Court. Loutzenheiser was indicted in 2015 on three sex charges that were based on incidents which occurred in 2008. He will serve 12 years under the plea. DA Dunaway further commented that “since the victim and their family were opposed to testify, this was the best resolution that we could come to protect the public as well as seek justice for the activities Mr. Loutzenheiser chose to engage in.”
