RICHARDS SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR VEHICULAR HOMICIDE IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Cumberland County judge sentenced 41-year-old Jamie Dwayne Richards to 16 years in prison Friday for a vehicle crash that killed one and injured another. Richards was given time to serve for vehicular homicide by intoxication in the incident that took place on Peavine Road in December 2018 claiming the life of 85-year-old Bessie Huxoll and injured 88-year-old George Huxoll. Richards must serve at least 35 percent of the prison sentence to be eligible for parole. He was given credit for 517 days incarcerated.
