NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – A man was fatally shot following a road rage confrontation on Elm Hill Pike early Sunday morning.  Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1428 Elm Hill Pike just after midnight Sunday, where they found an adult male deceased from a gunshot wound to the torso.

A preliminary investigation indicates there was a road rage incident leading to a confrontation between two drivers. During the confrontation, at least one shot was fired, striking the victim.

The driver who fired the shot and a witness who was with the deceased driver stayed at the scene and were questioned.

Police are investigating.
