Roane County General Sessions Judge Dennis W Humphreys was booked in and out of the Roane County Jail on Thursday afternoon, charged with DUI from last year’s car accident in which an open container was found inside the car he was driving after he ran off the road on Highway 58 South of Kingston. The incident occurred on October 20th last year and Humphrey’s at the time was taken to the Roane Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol filed the charge of DUI against Humphreys, and he has bonded out after being at the jail for only 18 minutes on Thursday. Humphreys case was turned over to a district attorney out of Middle Tennessee as to not show any possible conflicts of interest. Trooper Brady Burnham investigated the crash and filed the official charge. It was unknown what court date is set at this time
