ROANE COUNTY CELEBRATES LABOR DAY WEEKEND WITH RECORD FESTIVITIES IN HARRIMAN AND ROCKWOOD

Thousands of residents and visitors turned out across Roane County over the holiday weekend for two major annual traditions.
The festivities kicked off on Sunday afternoon at Tom Fuller Park with Rockwood’s annual Rocking the Ramp festival. The event featured live music, food, and family activities throughout the day, culminating in a fireworks display launched from a barge on the lakefront.
Celebrations continued on Monday as the Harriman City Labor Day Festival drew an estimated crowd of more than 10,000 people to downtown Harriman. Roan Street hosted over 200 craft and artisan vendors stretching from Queen Avenue to Morgan Avenue. The downtown celebration also included food booths, live entertainment, children’s games, and a morning pageant, prompting local officials to call the event a tremendous success.
