Roane County court officials say 63-year-old Michael Gray, Sr. and 60-year-old Shirley Gray entered pleas of not guilty while being arraigned in court this morning. Both remain in jail and their next appearance in front of a judge is scheduled for December 18, 2020. The 42 count indictment handed down by a grand jury states the Grays allegedly abused several adoptive children and killed a 10-year-old girl living in their home in Ten Mile between January and March 2017. They are also charged with abusing her corpse.
