Emergency personnel across Roane County faced an exceptionally demanding weekend that stretched into Monday afternoon, responding to a relentless series of traffic accidents, medical emergencies, a brush fire, and a death investigation.
The busy stretch culminated Monday afternoon around 2:00 PM when Rockwood Police, fire personnel, and EMS rushed to the 200 block of Lake Mont Heights. Responders discovered an elderly woman inside a residence who had been injured in a fall and was showing signs of a potential stroke. Due to the severity of the situation, numerous emergency units flooded the scene, and the patient was quickly transported to Roane Medical Center for treatment.
