A Roane County jury has found a former Lenoir City police officer not guilty of attempted second-degree murder. Court documents show 44-year-old Jeremy Alex Gambrell was charged with shooting his estranged wife in 2015 and claimed it was in self defense. However, the jury found him guilty for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against the victim’s boyfriend. Gambrell is scheduled to be sentenced on that charge November 1, 2018.
