A Roane County man was arrested after reportedly leaving his one-year-old child in a car in the parking lot of Walmart in Rockwood. Officers say 19-year-old Jonathan Martinez is charged with child abuse and neglect. Police say the child was in the vehicle unattended for more than 20 minutes with the keys in the ignition and the car running. Martinez was taken to the Roane County jail and the child was released into the care of the mother.
