ROANE COUNTY SHERIFF JACK STOCKTON HONORED AT RETIREMENT CELEBRATION AFTER TWO DECADES OF SERVICE
Hundreds of community members, local officials, and law enforcement officers gathered today at the Old Courthouse lawn to celebrate the retirement of Roane County Sheriff Jack Stockton.
Stockton, who was first elected in 2006, is completing his fifth consecutive term, wrapping up more than 20 years at the helm of the Roane County Sheriffโs Office. Longtime Chief Deputy Tim Phillips also reflected on their years working side-by-side during the transition.
While stepping away from law enforcement, Stocktonโs public service is far from over. He is currently running for Tennessee State Representative in the 32nd District after securing the Republican nomination in the August 6 primary. He will face Democratic candidate Ali Simpson in the November 3 general election.
