Authorities say a shooting late last week on Post Oak Valley Road in Roane County injuring one may have been a case of self defense. The report states Grant McNeal was in his home when Evan Gardner kicked the door open to gain access. That is when Gardner was shot. He was transported to U.T. Medical Center and is expected to recover. The case will probably be reviewed by the district attorneys office.
