ROANE COUNTY TEENAGER ESCAPES INJURY IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN CUMBERLAND CO.
A teenager from Roane County escaped injury in a single vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County around 7 a.m. this morning. Trooper Justin Mote says a 2003 Chrysler Sebring driven by a 16-year-old juvenile from Rockwood was traveling west at the 331 mile marker when the teenager lost control in a curve, ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top. The juvenile, who was restrained at the time of the accident, was charged with failure to exercise due care.
