A Roane County woman has been charged with child endangerment after allegedly leaving her one-year-old alone in her apartment. Officers say 25-year-old Cassie Frances Oglesby allegedly admitted to them she had left her baby alone in her apartment on multiple occasions. Officers initially responded to Rocky Top Market on E. Race Street in Kingston for a possible drunk person. By the time officers arrived, the person was gone. Another call came in to dispatch that the same person was at Kingston Four Apartments. Officers saw the person in question matching Oglesby description there. Officers say she passed a sobriety test but when officers asked her where her kids were at, Oglesby said her 4-year-old was at her mothers but her infant was at her residence alone. Police made arrangements with Oglesby’s mother to get the infant before arresting her. Oglesby was transported to the Roane County jail.
