ROANE COUNTY WOMAN INDICTED ON CHARGES INCLUDING VEHICULAR HOMICIDE
A Roane County grand jury has indicted a woman on numerous charges involving the death of another woman. According to the indictment, 30-year-old Crystal Dawn Rogers of Philadelphia, Tennessee is charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication, vehicular homicide by recklessness, DUI, child endangerment and two counts each of felony reckless endangerment with a weapon and vehicular assault. The indictment states that in October 2016, Rogers recklessly killed Laura Carmley as a result of being intoxicated while operating a vehicle. Rogers also allegedly put in harm’s way another female and a 7-year-old child. Rogers was arrested last night (Thursday, June 23, 2017). Rogers will be arraigned in Roane County court Monday, June 26, 2017.
