The Rockwood City Council has taken steps to redo an ordinance dealing with political signage. The council’s proposal is that campaign signs would not exceed four square feet in area in residential zones and no more than 16 square feet in all other districts. Only one sign may be erected per candidate per premises with no sign being erected for more than 45 days prior to Election Day. Signs shall not be allowed on any public property within the City of Rockwood and signs must be removed within two days after the election. Second reading for the ordinance is scheduled for some time in September.
